How to Choose The Best Beach In Jamaica For Your Vacation.

All your life you dreamed of taking a vacation and suddenly it is almost time! Now, the pressure to get the most out of it. We all have different ideas about vacations. And, this will be a special one. You have to realize your own special needs and wants and incorporate all this into a well structured fullfilling time.

Jamaica Beach
Beach in Jamaica
Consider Jamaica. It has a variety of beaches to choose from. Just know what you want and where to find it. Jamaica is the answer. Jamaica has the beaches that feature the traditional joys of pristine white sand and blue, blue waters, but also the rough, craggy type of beaches. The latter are great if you don't really like crowds. Some people go to Jamaica for the crowds because they like the active social scene.

A great example is Doctor's Cave Beach , in Montego Bay. This one is known as a classic Caribbean vacation beach. It is about five miles long and covered with a fine white sandy beach that borders clear, cool waters. It is likely to be crowded. Very popular. Another example is Cornwell Beach. Known for lovely, white sand. It is part of Montego Bay.

An example of the rough Jamaican beaches is Negril, where some of the most wild, untouched areas by the sea can be found. Look for craggy cliffs, amazing beauty, and lots of solitude – a favorite of naturalists from around the world. Another rough beach is Crane Beach, by Black River, notable for the naturalness of its environment.

If you have a family, especially with young children, there are several beaches in Jamaica. These are known for their gentle waters that lack the strong currents and undertows found in other areas, making swimming safer for children. Some of the best are the Walter Fletcher Beach in Montego Bay, San San Beach in Port Antonio, Blue Lagoon Beach, which is also in Port Antonio, and Dunn’s River Beach, located in Ocho Rios, fairly close to the famous waterfalls.

For the surfer in the family, consider Boston Beach, where surfing equipment is easy to rent. And, the beaches of Long Bay offer the most consistent waves in Jamaica. For adventure, try Treasure Beach. But, while adventurous to the surfer, the undercurrent can be strong.

And, those in search of beaches that combine the joys of sun, sand and surf with an active social scene or party scene will certainly enjoy Frenchman’s Cove in Port Antonio. Seven Mile Beach in Negril is considered a favorite place.

Jamaica is quite possibly your answer. Jamaica is a lovely island with about 200 miles of beaches. There are beaches to suit most every taste, from peaceful and natural surroundings to the pristine white sands and full services of the resorts, from beaches perfect for active water sports beaches to known for their active social scene. A little planning will help you to choose the best beach in Jamaica for you. Study all the alternatives and make your choice wisely. And, wherever you decide to go...have a great vacation.

Alton Hargrave offers advice and resources for those interested in travel. His website,http://travel-venture.info contains information you need to plan your vacation wisely.

Jamaica Honeymoons & Romantic Getaways.

In the early 1950s, Jamaican businessman John Pringle bought 98 acres on a peninsula eight miles west of Montego Bay, then sold shares of the former pineapple plantation to his celebrity friends.
The result was a luxurious resort named Round Hill that quickly became a favorite hideaway for movie stars of that era.
John and Jackie Kennedy honeymooned at Round Hill.
Round Hill's ties to the rich and famous continue to this day. Recent celebrity guests have included Paul McCartney and Michael Douglas.
Most notable, however, is designer Ralph Lauren, who owns one of the villas. While the villas were decorated by their owners, Lauren recently redecorated the hotel’s interiors, using an abundance of the color white to create a crisp, clean feeling.
Today, Round Hill is a real-life Garden of Eden that sprawls across 110 acres. The luxurious accommodations are set amidst lush, tropical grounds.
Guests can enjoy open-air dining on the terrace, swim in three fabulous pools, play tennis on five all-weather tennis courts, be pampered at the spa, and have breakfast prepared by their own private staff. In short, Round Hill offers honeymooners the chance to enjoy unparalleled luxury in an extremely private setting. The Ideal Vacation Spot for you an yours ,to enjoy in style.

Montego Bay The Second City.

Montego Bay is Jamaica's second city and has been a tourist Mecca since the 20s when early visitors sought out the healing waters of Doctor's Cave Beach. From the days when ''King Sugar' ruled, Montego Bay has been a bustling commercial centre and shipping port.
The resort of today is spread out from Rose Hall Great House in the east to Tryall in the west, with a choice of accommodation from guest houses to convention facilities.
The resort town of Montego Bay is as far from the 'real' Jamaica as you can get, though behind the narrow coastal plain is hill country where you can immerse yourself in mountain-village life. The region boasts a greater concentration of well-preserved colonial houses than any other, many of which are working plantations that welcomes guests on guided tours. And several championship golf courses, a number of horse stables and the island's best shopping add to the region's appeal.Montego Bay is known for the hotels and beaches Lets go sight seeing.
Shopping in Montego Bay
Part of the pleasure of a vacation is buying souvenirs or simply splurging out on something you have always wanted. Jamaica offers the necessary temptations.

Crafts Market
The main Craft Market is on Harbour Street in town but there are two smaller ones in the hotel area, one next to Fantasy Hotel and another on Fort Street on the site of a 17th century fort.

Rose Hall Beach Club
They call themselves the water sports capital of Jamaica and with great reason. Name any water sport and they have it — waterskiing, wave runners, para sailing, kayaking, diving, fishing, snorkeling, hydrospeeding. The list goes on. If you are a water sports fan or would like to learn any of the above. this place is a must. The club now offers family and corporate memberships at very reasonable prices.

Rose Hall Great House
This is without doubt the most celebrated Great House in Jamaica. It was once the home of the notoriously wicked Annie Palmer, the White Witch of Rose Hall, who murdered three husbands and terrorized her slaves. U.S. entrepreneurs, John and Michele Rollins, restored it to its original glory, complete with furnishings from the same time period. Charming Jamaican hostesses will chill your blood with tales of the evil Annie. A refreshing walk in the beautiful gardens will restore your equilibrium  or should you need stronger sustenance you can find it in Annie's Pub in the dungeon of the Great House.
RoseHall Great House

Montego Bay Undersea Tours - The "Coral See", is unique vessel, is a semi-sub reef explorer, where the passengers go down into the hull of the vessel. Below, in the hull, are panoramic viewing windows, where you can see the colorful marine life and fishes of the Montego Bay Marine Park in air-conditioned comfort. Throughout the cruise, a marine life expert will explain the features of the reef and its occupants, and answer all the questions you may have. At one point, the vessel stops and you can witness a scuba diver feeding the ever-hungry reef fish.

Places to Visit in Jamaica.

If you are coming here, the Nine Miles Jamaica Tour is a MUST visit! In fact, many of our visitors stated that they will never forget the experience- it was one the great highlights of their trip.Nine Miles, you should already know, is the birth place of our late great reggae superstar, Bob Marley and is also his final resting place.
About 60 miles from Montego Bay, or 1.5 hours driving, it is located just outside of Brown's Town, in the heart of the parish of St. Ann- not far from the Ocho Rios area.
The trip takes you through various villages where you can learn quite a lot about rural Jamaica- the real Jamaica.
Typically, you are greeted by a Rastaman who opens the gate just enough for the driver to enter the compound and then locks it. They will also not hesitate to let you know that the laws are different inside behind those walls. You will notice that ganja is grown (& smoke) everywhere.
The guide takes you through the black gates, up a steep but beautifully paved walkway and up to Bob's childhood home and his resting place. By the way, the guides will also ensure you learn a lot about the Rastafarian religion.
Here are some picture of Bob Marley.

Best vacation with Kids to Jamaica.

Diapers? Check. Endless supply of Goldfish crackers and juice boxes? Check. Puzzles, Barbie dolls and tiny plastic dinosaurs? Check, check, check.
Any parent knows that traveling with kids is an exercise in logistical planning. The good news is many all-inclusive vacation spots now exist that strive to understand what families need -- and provide it.
All-suite FDR Pebbles promises the usual appeal of sun, sand and sea, and the no-hassle attraction of an all-inclusive set-up, but with an added plus: every arriving family is assigned their own personal vacation nanny. The nanny is on duty all day to take over kid patrol in your suite or accompany your youngsters to the kids club, where they'll have their pick of games, books and activities. Teens and pre-teens have their own activities, including supervised trips to an outdoor campsite, beach parties, fishing, sailing, windsurfing, hiking, all-terrain bicycle trips and other field trips. That leaves Mom and Dad plenty of time to get a massage, read a book, tackle an adventure of their own or just enjoy a quiet meal -- in an adults-only restaurant -- without the constant chorus of little voices clamoring for attention. Be sure to check out their specials, which include a "Bring the grandparents for free" deal, "Family fly free" fall deal and family reunion package.

Beaches (Dun's River Fall)

About Dunn's River Falls

Dunn’s River Falls is a truly outstanding treasure offering 600 feet of climbing pleasure for thousands of visitors and locals every year. It is safe to say that Dunn's River Falls is only one of its kind. It is depicted as an emergent place to experience. The falls constantly rejuvenates itself from pieces of travertine rock. This causes precipitation which in turn brings about calcium carbonate from the river, as it streams over the falls. The miniature dome-shaped waterfalls are generally connected to hot spring movement found in the limestone caves. This, combined with where the fall is located, gives Dunn's River the diversity of being the only one of its kind in the Caribbean.
The Arawak name “Xayamaca” means land of rivers and springs. The area was called “Las Chorreras” by The Spaniards which means the waterfalls and springs. Therefore from that time up to now Dunn’s River Falls is said to be without a doubt one of the most attractive spots on the island. The name “Las Chorreras” has degenerated over the years to Ocho Rios which means eight rivers, although there are in fact only four rivers in the region. These are Cave River, Roaring River, Turtle River and of course Dunn’s River. These “Chorreras” are a never ending flow and rapid fall, as well as swift cascading of waterfalls which dispense directly into the Caribbean Sea. Any trip to Ocho Rios must include a visit to this gorgeous feat of nature, so if you're making a trip to Jamaica, whether it's a timeshare vacation or just a one-time trip, you'll have to stop by Dunn's River Falls.
The Belmont property of Dunn’s River Falls was handed over to the Urban Development Corporation for the people of Jamaica. It is run by the St. Ann Development Company, a local auxiliary of the Urban Development Corporation. Both companies have gone on board to phase the upgrading and the development of the Dunn's River Falls Park so that the falls is able to reach a standard that is suitable for a leading national attraction.
The visitors’ compound at Dunn’s River Falls has attractions such as a live music stage, restaurant, jerk chicken huts, and a gazebo for special occasions such as weddings – making it an absolutely exceptional spot for a wedding or special occasion. To leave the compound you have to pass through a craft market, where ever-present Jamaican vendors persistently try to sell their souvenirs.
Ocho Rios is known for its array of activities, its tropical beauty, shopping, dining and its wonderful beaches to name a few. The best attraction however always ends up being a day at Dunn’s River Falls as it includes everything mentioned above. Dunn’s River Falls & Park is the perfect surroundings for relaxation and fun, and it for the whole family.
Today, the new Dunn's River Falls Park is a combination of modern amenities with the rustic attraction of natural surroundings. New roads have been put in place to gain easier entrance to the higher reaches of the falls, amplified parking and picnic facilities are now provided, as well as terraces and decks, which allows for scenic views of the falls and the horizon in the distance. There is also a beach located at the base of the falls where the ocean and the river meet.
Dunn’s River Falls usually tops the lists of the world’s most gorgeous waterfalls. Most Jamaica tours or trips include a visit to this natural beauty. Whether you are on an Ocho Rios vacation or just passing through, a visit to Dunn’s River Falls is a must. Dunn's River Falls presence the opportunity for revival. It is a memorable experience and a definite must for your holiday schedule. Visit Dunn’s River Falls just once and it is assured that you will definitely return for more. Dunn’s River Falls is truly a place of superb natural beauty.
